Health Services for Special Education Students

 

 

Health and nursing services may be provided as a designated instruction or service in a specialized area of educational need as determined by the individualized education program team.

 

Services may include:

 

  1. Managing an individual’s health problems on the school site

 

  1. Consulting with pupils, parents, teachers and other personnel

 

  1. Group and individual counseling with parents and pupils regarding health problems

 

  1. Maintaining communication with health agencies providing care to individuals
